Thursday 7th July brings an exciting Afropolitan music and fashion pop up.
Vibes on The Roof #VOTR is set to be an event that provides the perfect fusion between urban East London and the cosmopolitan energy found across African cities - the event curators like to refer to this as “Afropolitan”.
The evening will feature pieces from Dalston based emerging British-Nigerian fashion designer Yemzi, with the oppurtunity to make purches. Also a collection from Mr Garbe - a clothing brand inspired by Africa’s rich cultural history as well as its dynamic future and the diaspora.
MUSIC & SPOKEN WORD
VOTR presents an amazing roster of musical and spoken word talent.
The Lagos raised rapper has intellectual punchlines and witty wordplay in his music that will entertain spectators with his new hip hop sound.
Kinshasa born, London raised writer, poet and educator enlightening the crowd with thoughtful spoken word.
This new London raised fresh talent group are set to get the crowd pumped with their underground but hip music, the group are rapidly growing a strong following and set to make it big in the coming months.
DJ Unbeetable and Logic Senya will be spinning tunes throughout the night to keep guests entertained.
FOOD AND DRINK
There will be a cash bar available throughout the night with Papi's Grill serving food for the duration on the event. Nari Palm Juice will kindly be offering some samples of their new flavours.
The event will take place at Dalston Roof Park, 18 Ashwin St, London E8 3DL nestled in between Hackney’s Terraced Homes and framed by the London’s famous cityscape from 5pm - 11pm with last entry at 10.30pm.
